An AGM That Should Have Been Call Off

The MCA in-fighting drama since more than a year ago has showcase how political power can make someone so corrupt that he has to do whatever he can to cling on his position. He can claims that what he did was to "reform" MCA, to introduce new political culture or whatever beautiful terms he can use, but the reality is: what he did and still doing is to jeopardise and destroy the party.

To enable someone to continue using his power to fight, he must first hypnotize himself that everything he does is for the benefit of the party and members, whoever against it is trying to destroy the party. That is what happening now. Despite having such huge protest from leaders and grassroot around the country, Ong still believes that all the voices against him are demons trying to stop his "justice" and "saint" move to rebuild the party. Has he ever stop and take a couple of minutes to make self criticism? Has he ever listen? Has he ever awake?

First, after the MCA party election on October 2008 where the delegates has chosen Ong Tee Keat and Chua Soi Lek as president and deputy president respectively, Ong has already started his "party cleansing" process to ousted Chua, who he believes as a priority before he can start implementing his party reform plan.

He refuses to recognize Chua as deputy by not giving him any party position, including the Chairman of Disiplinary Board, where by convention is to be hold by the Deputy President. His explanation was Chua has disiplinary case pending in MCA and it is a conflic of interest appointing him to lead the board.

Secondly, he refuses to appoint Chua to lead any state, especially Johor where Chua comes from and has the most grassroot support. Chua was denied from any political power that he ought to have when elected as party deputy president. All was set and Ong starts his rebuild plan, he leads a big group of politicians and businessman to visit China just before Chinese New Year and Chua was not in the list.

There were so many occasions where we can see how Chua was denied.

Now Ong has a menifesto that he has to deliver, a campaign manifesto that says if he won the president seat, he would implement a directy voting by members to replace the delegates system MCA using now. To do that, an EGM with 2/3 majority is needed to amend the party constitution to allow him to do so. But he has no confident because Chua has nearly 40% support. To do that, he either work together with Chua or throw him out of the party. Obvioulsy he has chosen the second option which leads the party in split into two. Ong team and Chua team.

Ong started his campaign to ousted Chua by using the state convention opening speech to put Chua as one of the 10 "outside forces" trying to topple him and destroy MCA. One of the forces reffered was Tiong, the PKFZ related tycoon. When everything was set, Ong then instruct the Disiplinary Board to charge Chua for having the sex scandal happen a year ago. As expected, Chua was sacked for involving in the sex scandal; Chua fight back by getting 1/3 of the central delegates to call for an EGM to regain his position and to vote no confident on Ong's leadership.

Judging on grassroot sentiments, Ong, after advice by his team, to reduce the penalty from sacking Chua to suspend his membership. But that didn't stop Chua's supporter to continue wanting to vote him no confident.

Ong has to tour the country to get support to fight Chua and the he gets most support from Liow Tiong Lai, the only Minister accompany him for the country political tour. Of course, Ong is also getting huge support from Youth Chief Wee Ka Siong and Wanita Chief Chew Mei Fun. On every occassion, Liow and Chew especially had openly ask the delegates to support Ong and said Ong has change, he knows what has happen and if he get through this EGM, he will start listening to others and will not continue his solo leadership style.

Ong has all the confident that he will get through and Chua will be ousted. He has used all media to help his campaign and just before the EGM, he gave few interview to many press and stated the same statement: "I will go even with losing by only one vote". This is a heroic statement and won many applauses. A gentlement and stateman proclaim that would need perfect confident to voice out.

Throughout the campaign, both camp start backmail each others and the grassroot start thinking since both Ong and Chua cannot work together, it is better to thrown both out of the party and replace with new faces rather than the party continue to split into two when one wins and other loses.

That is when a so call "thrid force" appear and ask delegates to vote both out. The 1010 EGM result was a surpise for many. Ong was voted with no confident, as Chua attempts to reinstate as deputy failed. But Chua managed to regain his membership.

Everything seems decided as both camp said they will definately respect the outcome of the EGM. Sadly, Ong refused to carry out the resolution and instead he is planning a comeback in a "hard way" by accusing Liow and his own strong supporters, including the both wings to betray him and stab him from behind. He claimed that all the action to ousted Chua was influenced by this betrayer gang.

He knows that he doesn't has to step down as provided in the party constitution but how to continue holding the post when he himself has openly saying that he will go even if he losses by only one vote? The only way to justify his stay is to start pinpoint and accuse others.

And the whole drama start. He said he was so sad to see the reality that his own people has betrayed him and he will not trust anybody now. He then need Chua's support and to get Chua support, he written a letter to ROS to seek clarification to reinstate Chua as deputy president. So both Ong and Chua come back as if the EGM has never happen! Then a so call Greater Unity Plan (GUP) was introduced and claim that it was agreed by the PM.

Just after the GUP, Ong starts his chopping game by restructuring the CC, sacking five of his own loyalists from CC and replaced it by Chua's supporters, including Chua's son. A second move was to sack Wee and Chew from Presidential Council and this really sparks off the fire thoroughout the country forcing PM to intervene. The GUP was a total failure.

The GUP forces Liow's team to call for an EGM to ask for a fresh elections. Ong has unprecedentaly refuse to carry out the EGM and accuse the EGM as unlawful.

DPM then was instructed by PM to intervene and help solving MCA crisis. The drama continue. Who will think of Ong would use all sort of execuses to avoid seeing DPM? He was admitted to hospital on the night DPM calling all fraction to meet at his house. He even run away from the Cabinet meeting and MCA CC meeting. Liow's 1128 EGM forces the AGM scheduled on Dec 5th to be called off because PM refused to attend as opening guest.

By now, Ong was left with little choices but he continue fighting. A Fresh Elections Committee was finally set up, lead by Chua. 13 CC from Liow's team send in their resignation letter and waiting another 8 to join so a fresh elections can be carry out. Everything was set for a fresh elections. However, Chua has his own agenda to drag the fresh elections to March so that he has time to tour the country and using party resources to gain more support.

Just when most people has given up and think that there is no hope for fresh elections, suddenly, 2 days before the rescheduled AGM on March 7, Chua leading another seven CC to send in their resignation letter and making the number to reach 2/3 of CC resign, paving the road towards a fresh elections.

Now we see hope in bringing MCA back on track. According to Party Constitution Article 41 spells: "If two-third or more of the elected mebers of the Central Committee shall at any time cease to be members of the Central Committee the remaining members shall within three (3) days of the day when the event occurs elect one of themselves to convene at the shortest possible time and in any event not later than thirty (30) days from the date of that event an Extraordinary Meeting of the General Assembly to elect a new Central Committee. Until a new Central Committee has been elected the remaining members of the Central Committee shall Administer the affairs of the Party. Provided that nothing herein shall prevent the re-election of any ex-Central Committee Members".

It is very clear now than within 30 days, there will be an EGM to elect a new leadership. In this case, i do not see any logic to continue having the AGM as 2/3 of the CC has already resigned. But Ong is still Ong, he still fight back even if the world has left him alone. I do not know whehter he realise that by doing so, he is actually destroying the party!

Ong, you have fight all your life in politics and this time, please, i beg you to stop fighting. If you really want to fight, fight in a gentleman way in the EGM on March 28 and seek to regain your presidenship if you like it so much. We have lost in the 308 General Election. There is very little option for us to regain Malaysian supports, especially from the Chinese community. The in-figthing has tear us apart.

Please give MCA a chance. Please listen to peoples. How can everybody is wrong and you are the only person in this planet who is right! Think about that, you have build your reputation all the while and you yourself to destroy it once and for all.

I hope one day we will remember you as a fighter for the community but not a demon who bring down the party.

Enough is enough.....please let go

An Alarming Incident Threatening Malaysia

After merely 8 days into year 2010, Malaysia faces yet another critical challenge that may turn this beautiful country into a war zone.

It happen when 3 churches (as reported) were attacked following the Federal Court judgement that the Herald paper can continue to use the word "Allah" referring to God in their malay version bible use mainly for Sabahan and Sarawakian.

The verdict caused protest by the Muslim as they felt "Allah" can only be referred to Muslim God, not "other" God.

Tension is rising...and government had no choice but must act fast to stop it from turning into a religious clash. As a multi-racial and multi-religious country, we cannot afford to have any form of religious clash. Burning a church is a serious provocation and it soon may become a international issue which would definitely damage Malaysia image.

I urge the government to step in and act now. Arrest anyone who are try to be a hero and stir up hatred among peoples.

马华应该回归根本！

马华公会最近因为开除蔡细历党籍而引发了剧烈的党内纷争。国内中文报章巨细靡遗，图文并茂，连戏剧式的报道更令许多人感到烦厌！

本来经过去年308大选打击下的马华这个时候应该痛定思过，大刀阔斧的改革，以赢回民心。然而，“屋漏偏逢连夜雨”，马华在人民决定是否在下一届大选还要支持国阵的当儿发生了党内纷争，令所有的党员感到痛心。

有人怪罪马华大厦的风水不好，也有人强调这是党组织结构的问题。但是别自欺欺人了，这原本就是华人不团结，内斗内行，外都外行的再次验证而已啊！也别只怪马华，在马来西亚大部分的华人组织当中，难道不是接二连三的发生内斗事件吗？难道不是一旦发生领导层纷争，输了的派系就另起炉灶以在“户外”继续抗争吗？这就是马来西亚华人社会的悲哀！

区区六百五十万华人就天天闹的不可开交，互相残杀，不致对方于死地而不休！难道这就是我们引以为傲的伟大中华文化吗？这种消耗内力的斗争真的有愧于当年创党的先贤啊！

马来西亚华人社会与马华公会是不可分割的。历史的演变造就了马华公会。六十年来，马华公会，无论你认同与否，它都背负着照顾及捍卫马来西亚华人利益的重大责任。从创党初期争取公民权，捍卫华文教育，保存中华文化等。。。。当然不是事事尽得人意，但愿无愧于心！

当然，马华也有很多过失之处。龙门也有失手的时候，令许多不利于华人社会的政策出台。这些错误我们必须承认，也必须承担！但是永远处于自我怪罪或永不抬头是鸵鸟文化。

马华领导层应该挺起胸膛，走入华人社会，了解华人社会，解决华人社会的问题！一步一脚印的重新在华人社会建立支持力量，赢回马华尊严！一个不获华人支持的政党，还算是华人政党吗？我们被林冠英践踏了我们的尊严！所谓“弱国无外交”，今天的马华正是“虎落平原被犬欺”。要赢回尊严就必须重回我们的根本，回到华人社会当中！

但愿马华特大能够尽快召开，所有的纷争都应该由2千400名中央代表来决定。来一场君子之争，少数服从多数，多数尊重少数！输的一方接受事实，重新归队，协助重整马华。赢的一方不会采取秋后算账，更应该伸出橄榄枝，包容对方。

期待马华的改革，期待马来西亚华人社会的团结。

理科大学录取新生放榜，学生劝请尽快上网查阅

吉隆坡30日讯。

马青总团教育局呼吁所有在这之前申请理科大学本科学位的学生尽快登入理大网址http://pohon.usm.my/ 查阅他们的申请是否成功。

马青总团教育局主任张盛闻今早接获马青槟城州团团长翁协文的投诉，告知很多学生对理大的录取通知书给予过短时间回复而感到不知所措。根据理大的录取程序，学生必须要在5月31日，下午5点之前回复是否接受理大的学位。然而，很多学生在昨天，29日（星期五）才接获通知，不可能在31日，也就是星期天能够将答复表格呈给理大。就算学生在星期六一早寄出表格，邮差也不会在星期日做工。

因此，马青教育局主任张盛闻第一时间联络高教部副部长何国忠博士，要求协助未能及时呈交回复表格的学生。何国忠博在联络理大副校长后说学生必透过网站或短讯方式回复是否接受学位，而表格则可以在星期天以后再寄到理大。如果学生在这方面遇到问题，可以联络马青总团教育局：03-21618044

张盛闻表示：“理大作为国内首间顶尖大学，拥有招生自主权，但是遗憾的是录取新生成绩放榜竟然没有对媒体公布。理大必须明白不是所有的学生都一定坐在家里等理大的收生通知书或者都有电脑可以随时上网查阅电邮。理大给予的时间过于仓促，又适逢周末，可能会令到很多学生错失就读理大的机会。”

他说：“马青教育局在这之前已经建议大学录取通知和回复答案之间应该至少有7个工作天，让学生有足够的时间考虑和作出回复。这种即没对外公布，又极为仓促的录取新生法应该检讨”。

另外，今年的国立大学录取新生制度有稍作改变。理大作为顶尖大学将优先录取新生。所有同时申请理大和其他19所国立大学的学生，如果一旦被理大拒绝，或拒绝接受理大学位，该名学生的名字将交由UPU处理，让其他国立大学筛选。

因此，马青教育局希望这些学生送往UPU时将获得同等的待遇，与其他没有申请理大的学生一同享有以绩效的标准录取进入大学。

Farewell, Pak Lah

Prime Minister Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi

April 2, 2009 (Thursday), Prime Minister Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi had officially resigned before Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Malaysia, Tuanku Mirzan, at Istana Negara.

Pak Lah, Malaysia 5th Prime Minister was a great person. His contribution to this country cannot be judged now as what he did was to lay down a strong foundation for his successor to continue building this great nation.

You may not even noticed what has he done for this country, but slowly the country is transforming....

Malaysia has developed rapidly from 1990 to 1999, from an agriculture based economy to an industrial based economy and moving forward to a knowledge based economy in early 2000. We have build the highest twin tower in the world and have one of the renown F1 race track in the world. The Malaysian society has changed tremendously over the past 20 years.

Yet, the are so many left behind. Rich peoples get much richer, poor peoples get much poorer. Society value drop, ethnic relation deteriorated, crime rate soar, quality of life goes down, foreign workers increase dramatically and corruption proliferated.

A great cost for the economy booming.

Pak Lah knew very well that his mission is not to create another economy booming, because our economy has reach to a level that we need to transform our economy to a more sustainable growing economy. He abandoned the mega project and turn back to Malaysia's strength- the agriculture sector that we have ignored for the past 20 years. He also has a new master plan of bringing the development to rural area, out of Klang Valley which could growth solely by private sector. With this, he launches 5 economy corridors.

Of course, his greatest legacy was to open up freedom of speech, especially the freedom for media reporting. Though some blamed his move to cause the political tsunami on March 8 General Election.

He may not be the best Prime Minister, but he is certainly the "Mr Clean" that we all know well. And he is certainly the "Good Man" of all time.

Now, it is time for him to return to his normal life, as ordinary Malaysian, a lifestyle that he always wanted to, to celebrate everyday with his family.

马青教育局主任张盛闻抨击希山慕丁的歪曲独立论

(29日讯) 希山慕丁在巫统代表大会上声称国家的独立是巫统及马来人的功劳，完全没有其他政党的贡献；马青教育局主任张盛闻对有关言论感到极度失望！

张盛闻抨击希山，并说：“作为一名教育部长，希山慕丁应该对自己的言论负责，胡乱发表歪曲独立历史的真相是严重及极度不负责任的行为，尤其是希山表明将修改历史以突显巫统及马来人在争取国家独立所扮演的角色，而罔顾其他族群及政党的贡献。”

张盛闻强调：“马青教育局将极力反对任何一方企图私自修改国家独立历史，以达到个人或团体利益。马青向来对国家历史出现严重偏差已经感到不满，现在希山还要加重突出巫统及马来人在独立过程中的功劳，并抹杀华人及其他族群的贡献，这是马青所不能容忍的！”

国家独立历史清楚记载当年英国人是基于马来亚三大民族能够和谐共处，并合作治理这个国家，才放心移交政权给三大民族组成的联盟政府。当年如果没有马华及后来的国大党与巫统一起建立联盟而赢取全国大选，英国人也不会轻易让马来亚独立。

张盛闻劝请希山不要因为赢了巫统党选而冲昏了头脑，应该吸取以往举剑的教训而学会谦虚及认清国家是多元族群的事实。任何人企图通过修改历史而抹杀事实都会以失败告终。

Stop attacking vernacular school system, say two MCA bureaus

KUALA LUMPUR: Stop attacking the vernacular school system just to score points during party elections because this creates tension among races.

The MCA Youth Education Bureau and MCA Legal Bureau criticised Umno Youth chief aspirant Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir for calling on the Government to abolish the vernacular school system to enhance unity among the people, saying that a single-school system was the only way to check racial polarisation.

“We urge Mukhriz not to purposely play up the education issue simply because of the advent of his party’s polls,” MCA National Youth education bureau chief Chong Sin Woon said yesterday.

“Such sentiment has always been played up by Umno Youth leaders, causing unhappiness among the Chinese community and creating tension among all the races.”

He added that the proposal by Mukhriz contradicted the spirit of the Federal Constitution, which guaranteed the freedom to promote and develop the vernacular school system.

Chong said the vernacular school system was an asset to the country and did not hinder national unity.

“The education sentiment has seriously been politicised, and this will only continue to reduce our nation’s competitiveness,” he added.

He invited Mukhriz to a dialogue with the bureau to have a better understanding of the importance of Chinese education to the community.

MCA Legal Bureau chairman Datuk Leong Tang Chong demanded that the Jerlun MP make a public apology to all Malaysians and refrain from making such political rhetoric.

“The law is clear, and no one is above the law. The supremacy of the Federal Constitution must be respected at all times by all Malaysians,” he said.

He added that Mukhriz’s call for the abolition of the vernacular school system by integrating it into the national school system flew in the face of Article 152(1)(a) which inter-alia stated that “no person shall be prohibited or prevented from using (other than for official purposes) or from teaching or learning in any other language.

“(b) nothing in the Clause shall prejudice the right of the Federal Government or of any state government to preserve and sustain the use and study of the language of any other community in the Federation”. – The Star

马青总团教育局不苟同慕克里的言论

吉隆坡2日讯

马青总团教育局主任张盛闻表示，巫青团署里总团长候选人拿督慕克里发表关闭各源流学校的建议已经抵触了联邦宪法赋予各源流学校自由发展的精神。他吁请慕克里克制自己，不要在巫青团党选的敏感期挑起伤害种族关系的言论。他说这类言论经常被巫青团领袖挑起，令到国内华裔族群感到非常不满，并将造成种族间的关系紧张。

他说：“马来西亚教育拥有一定历史背景，并不能够与其他国家的单元教育相提并论。国家独立已经超过50年，大家应该接受各源流学校是国家的资产，而不是负担，更不是国家团结的绊脚石！教育课题已经被严重的政治化了，如果这种情况继续下去，只会让这个国家的竞争力继续下滑，到时候全国人民都受到伤害！”

各源流学校成为团结绊脚石的言论在很多个年代都出现过，但是首相阿都拉及教育部长希山慕丁都曾经公开说各源流学校是国家重要资产，并保证它们将能够继续自由的发展下去。因此，慕克里没有必要因为巫青团的改选而再度挑起这个课题以塑造个人英雄的形象。他这样做只会令到人民对巫统感到更加反感。

张盛闻呼吁各造停止操纵教育课题，还教育界一个清静的环境。我们应该投入更多的时间及资源发展我国的教育，提高人民的教育水平，而不是一味将教育课题当作政治议题，每天闹的沸沸扬扬。

另外，慕克里再度挑起华人控制经济的课题显示他依然保留华人是外来者并抢夺了本土马来人利益的狭隘思想。这种落伍的思想才是导致国民未能团结的最大障碍。如果政府能够公平施政，利惠各族人民，并严厉管制政治人物发表极端言论，我国各族人民必定能够融洽生活在一起。

My Last Day In Office

Well, its nearly 5 years since i join this office in January 2004, i was only 29 years old then.

I was very proud to serve the office and i have a wonderful boss who taught me a lot. This was one of my happiest time in my career. I got the chance to meet with the highest authority, the most powerful peoples in the country, the decision makers and witnessed the major issues happening in this country.

My eyes opened widely during my service here and it changes my view on certain issue. My beliefs, my stand, my way of dealing issue has all shifted in different degree, but i am sure it was a good changes because i can now look through some issue that i never had before.

Surely, it was a chance of a life time to work here.

This office gave me the chance to really understand how complex it is to run a country, especially a multi-racial country like Malaysia. I was stunt by how difficult even the most powerful people to execute his power. Now i understand that even the Emperor in China in those day can't really do whatever he likes to do.

I also learned that it is very difficult to carry out reform because reform often challenge some people's comfort zone and they tend to fight back, harshly!

So many things are easy to say than done. Things are just not as what you think it is!

However, a leader must LEAD! He must inspired his people to follow him!

May the office get a good leader, for this country needs a great leader.

Open Up MCA Youth for Young Female

The newly elected (won without contest) MCA Youth Chief Dato' Dr Wee Ka Siong had announced 3 reform for MCA Youth during his election campaign.

1. To rename MCA State Youth

2. To reduce MCA Youth age limit from 45 to 40 years old

3. To open up MCA Youth for female under 45 years old

First reform is easy, its just the way we call State Youth and the press had changed the term and it is considered done.

Second reform will take at least 5 years. It will begin from branch, division, state and finally national youth. This is more complicated because it needs to be passed in AGM or an EGM, and the new leadership needs to convince central delegates to support a resolution to amend the MCA Youth By-Law and later send for approval by MCA Central Committee. Even though this will take sometimes but generally the grass root will support for this has been an issue dragged for the past 18 years since Tan Sri Dato Chan Kong Choy was the Youth Chief.

The real challenge lies on the reform to open up MCA Youth for young female. It was brought up during campaign period and the first exchange of view between Dr Wee and Wanita Chairman Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun was during an exclusive interview by Sin Chew Daily. Clearly, Dr Wee's proposal was openly rejected by Datin Paduka Chew.

Chew resisted the proposal because according to her, the move will challenge the structure of Wanita MCA.

Chew negative respond for the proposal in the early stage has trigger us to pursue the issue openly. We know very well that if the issue is to be discussed in closed door or set up "a joint committee" to "study" the issue will bring us to no way. Hence, an open campaign to tell MCA Youth our proposal was launched during the election dinner on October 16, 2008 in Wisma MCA. 20 buntings was hung and 50 young male and female wore the "I do" T-shirt on the dinner to showcase to all central delegates our aim for the reform.

It works well on the night and throughout the 3 days assembly and everyone seems accept the concept pretty well, until the final day of MCA General Assembly when a newly elected Wanita U35 CC severely criticized MCA Youth for asking to open up the youth for young female. Sadly what she debated was not the core issue, but instead she pinpoint on the design of the bunting and said it was more suitable to hang on Pub rather than Wisma MCA. Her remark quickly raised the media focus and the next day, MCA Youth was reported as hanging bunting to recruit Bar Girl.

I was deeply disappointed by her remark and thus get all 5 MCA Youth U35 CC to call for press conference to clarify the issue and to stand our ground and win back our dignity. My intention was very clear, to tell my fellow Wanita MCA the real problem we face on the ground. You can close the door and debate until the cows come home but the reality is that most young female feel they are more suitable to join the youth wing rather than Wanita.

I may be too rough in bringing up this issue but I didn't mean to hurt the Wanita, what i did was telling the truth, and in most cases, the truth hurt!

There is no reason for us to continue the fracas on little issue like the design of the bunting. Lets work together on how to win back the youngster to support us. The youth wing is just ask to restore the original status of wing, which is taking young member (under 40 years old) regardless of gender.

We should get back to the discourse, not the little issue like design.

Its easy to know whether this is a right direction, just conduct a survey and the result will not lie.

I Salute You, Pak Lah!

Prime Minister Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had finally made the decision not to seek re-election for presidency on the coming UMNO Party Election on March 2009. This would only mean he will let go his job as Prime Minister of Malaysia and leave it to the new UMNO president.

It was a hard decision for many but a relief for him as he had bear too much work for the country.

He was criticised, blackmailed, condemned for losing 2/3 majority in the parliament after March 8 general election, and for causing high crime rate, high fuel price, high living cost, lost of control and literally he was blamed for causing everything bad about the country.

He was labelled as a flip flop PM that doesn't make decision or keep changing his own decision. He was slammed for allowing too many racist remark made by his UMNO comrades and too slow in making reform that he promised to do.

However, few notice that he is the man who fervently pursue for the reform that will only show impact in long run. Yes, he does not have great monument left for the country like KLCC or KLIA, but the real strength and real asset he left for the country is to re-install the institution much damaged like the judiciary and parliament, two important pillar for a real democratic country.

He is the man who wants the country to have more freedom of speech. He has always allow different voices from the people, even for those who criticise him. He wants open discourse on many issues so that people are more aware. But Malaysian were so used to a parenthood leadership where everything must be decided by the top leader. So when politician and media look for Pak Lah for answer and decision, he always responded with his smile and let the issue to "roll" a little bit longer and get someone who is responsible to handle it, like his cabinet minister to answer, but many label him as an indecisive leader.

The freedom we enjoy now doesn't drop from the sky, it was pretty much of him to allow all this to happen. Many said he was the man who free Anwar from jail and allow more freedom for opposition. Lim Kit Siang, Anwar Ibrahim and many others were allowed to show on TV and radio, something never happen previously.

Now that he is stepping down, he still vows to pursue his reform, especially on 3 very important Bills in the parliament, the Judicial Appointments Commission, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and a Special Complaints Commission. This is a very important bill that will ensure the country moving forward with a healthier administration and check and balance system.

Whatever it is, Pak Lah, you will be remembered for all the efforts you have done for the country, i know even the opposition respect you for you have respect everyone.

So many peoples want you to leave, and when you decided to leave, i hear so many peoples want you to stay. That's the reality of life. It just like the way we treat our parents, when they are around, we keep complaint about them but only when they are gone that we feel so sorry and remember their sacrifices for us.

I salute you, Pak Lah...

翁诗杰推介竞选宣言

当我们还在全国拜票的时候，收到了一则短讯，告知翁诗杰将在9月30日正式推介竞选马华总会长的宣言。看看行程，当时我们应该要到柔佛拜票，看来是出席不了。

但是，突然收到家祥秘书的短讯，柔佛州早上的拜票行程挪后了，因为要赶回吉隆坡出席翁诗杰的竞选推介礼。本来这样的安排时间上太匆忙了，很多候选人都希望留在麻坡过夜，因为第二天还要赶下新邦令干。但是，翁诗杰的竞选宣言推介礼变成了挺翁大会，在全国各地忙着拜票的候选人纷纷赶回吉隆坡挺翁。

我作为班丹区团团长，更是不能缺席我的国会议员的重大节目。

这个推介礼只能够用“耳目一新”来形容。强劲的音乐，简洁的流程，新颖的短片，明确的内容，加上全球同步网络直播更是令马华这个老招牌呈现活力的一面。

直选总会长及票选州主席是一项革新，看来马华的改革号角已经吹起了，从众多领袖的出席，翁诗杰领航马华应该是指日可待的事情了。

马青总团长魏家祥同时宣布将在5年之内推动马青的年龄降到40岁，一个不容易的改革运动。

这两位领袖一旦领导马华及马青，我们几乎可以肯定一个崭新的马华及马青将呈现在华社的眼前。

我希望如果中选成为中委将大力协助家祥推动更大的改革，让华社重新接受马华！

接下来大队将远征沙巴。。。另外一个里程碑了。。。

马青分团“正名”运动

随着“魏家军”北伐南征几天后，一个完整的队伍渐渐形成。家祥对马青总团的愿景也渐渐的清晰。在连日来不断对总团代表发表演讲的家祥，已经不知不觉地绘画出他对总团未来改革的方向。除了之前要求马华修改党章，让马青区团团长自动成为中央代表外，家祥也提出开放马青让年轻女性参与。这符合了青年团不分男女的基本原则。

家祥这次在柔佛州第一次提出州分团正名运动，马青各州团不应该再称为“分”团，应该直呼州团。他也马上在接下来的演讲中尽量改口，并使用州团长来称呼一同出席的雪州团长高祥威博士及柔佛州团长侯振德律师。

马青总团长廖中莱也一起出席，形成现任及未来总团长一起的画面。此情此景不知何时才有机会再见。。。

Abolish ISA

The government never expected such an overzealous respond from public and political party for using ISA to arrest 3 different people. A Chinese paper reporter, a politician (MP, Adun and State Senior Exco) and a blogger.

We can see from the public reaction and government respond to it as how government had step on area which turn into taboo since government had loosen restriction on freedom of speech. Government realized almost immediately after arresting the reporter that they have just step on a mine and the action was a stupid move and created such a huge criticism from all over the country, included Cabinet Ministers. To his dismay, the Home Minister Dato' Seri Syed Hamid Albar had to call for a press conference to explain to the nation on the obscure move, which end up becoming a laughing stock that the action was merely to protect the reporter.

12 September 2008 was the night that change public perception towards ISA. It was an Act that use to create fear among public, mostly to politician, so to obey to the government and to silence voices against government. It was so powerful and so efficient as it become a magic tool to make sure opposition doesn't cross the border.

However, this is the first time Malaysian stands together to ask the government to release the reporter, no doubt about that. Some Cabinet Ministers, President of MCA, Politician, NGOs, Opposition parties and even US government had demanded the same, free that reporter for she is not the right target to be arrested under ISA. That night, the nation stands together and it works! Government was under enormous pressure and the reporter was finally released after less than 24 hour under custody.

Next move is to save Teresa Kok, the politician. Of course, this is a more difficult mission because arresting her is obviously to please UMNO Malay. So we knew she will not be released as soon as the reporter. She "needs" to stay there a little bit longer to finish up the show. Pity her for becoming an actress without her own permission. But still, this time is largely different from Tun M era, this time even MCA and Gerakan demanded government to release Teresa Kok. Now the table turn, government soon realized that they have no full support from BN, and thus Teresa was released much sooner than 28 days which she is suppose to stay there.

Now Raja Petra isn't that lucky, he has no MCA or Gerakan backing, not because he is not a Chinese but he had put himself in the situation that he has ever ready to be arrested, under which ever Act, for that is his way to challenge the present government. He may stay there a little bit longer.

Now since the public noticed that their protest work so well, it is time for them to stand together one more time to ask the Act to be abolished. Recent MCA convention throughout the country, especially from MCA Selangor, had openly demand that ISA to be seriously reviewed or even better still to abolish it. No one know how strong is the new alliance form this time can really challenge the Act, but there would be no good chance other than this to pressure the government to act on the Act.

We must unify our strenght, from ruling coalition to opposition alliance, from individuals to NGOs, to organize a more strategic way to push through the common wish of all Malaysian, to abolish ISA. It is high time for all of us to work together for common goal, unlike PKR trying to seize power through defection that created uneasiness in the country. Let's forget about Anwar Ibrahim's dream to become PM and start working together for a better Malaysia.

A wish this time for Hari Raya and coming Deepavali.....that ISA WILL BE ABOLISHED

Still...Nothing Happen on September 16

The sky is still clear and blue on September 16,2008...nothing has change

September 16, 2008. A beautiful sunny day, a day when Malaysia was found. On September 16, 1963, Malaya (the Peninsular), together with Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak form a new country called Malaysia, but Singapore was later expelled in 1965.

However, the September 16, 2008 is indeed a very special day, not to celebrate Malaysia Day but the country was in chaos where rumours spreading extensively about changing government. In Chinese term "Bian Tian". I received hundred of calls asking whether there is any "Bian Tian?" or changing of government? I patiently answered every call and calm everyone who had called me.

My answer is simple: "Its all bullshit!" or in Chinese "Yi Pai Hu Yan!". I said "If Anwar has got more than 31 defectors, then he could just go to the Palace, meet the King and form a new government under his leadership, why keep lying to the public that now even though he has the numbers, but "choose to meet PM to discuss on peaceful transition of power", isn't that funny?"

I continued: "Looking back to any history in the world, no one seized power by having numerous press conference, telling the world that they have enough power but want to wait for the best time, a day or two, for the current PM to think a best way to hand over. That is ridiculous and preposterous! Seizing power is usually done in a strategic and quiet way and when everything are in place, seize the power and form new government!" Keep announcing will only show you are playing a psychology warfare and keep blowing the lie bigger and bigger until it explode one day."

The PM put it even more accurate in his pc by saying "Do you think Anwar wants to see me if he got enough defectors? He would storm into my office (PM Office), with hundred of his follower screaming "victory".

What is there to wait for? Organize your MPs (if enough) to go to see the King and be ready to swearing in as new Prime Minister.

Anwar Ibrahim could not answer questions threw on him during his pc that he could only announce unjustified numbers of MPs he got to topple the BN government. The mendacious information revealed by him had caused chaos in the country, to the extend some even take a leave and stay at home waiting for the latest update (as reported in newspaper).

I am waiting...not when PR could take over the government, but when Anwar Ibrahim's lie would explode and his credibility varnished.

I enjoy every moment from September 16, 2008 and waiting Anwar's political ploys that are too dramatic to be missed.

I pray to God, let the truth to be revealed and save Malaysia from disaster.

The September 16 Plan to topple Barisan Nasional government is not going to happen, but damage has been made, the nation is in highly instability status and investment from private sector halt for fearing of changing government in this immorally way. Anwar Ibrahim should apologise to the nation for created such a havoc and uncertainty in the country.

How many lies do we need to take from Anwar Ibrahim anymore?

Soon after the March 8 general election, he announced that there are MPs from BN will cross over to PR to topple BN government and form new government, so to enable Anwar Ibrahim to become Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Few months after that, nothing happen!

Saifu then lodged a police report accusing Anwar for a sodomy case. Once again Anwar hold a press conference said he wanted to announce 2 BN MP who agreed to crossover. But again, he given a reason that due to the sodomy case, the plan was put on hold.

After Anwar won in Permatang Pauh by-election, he repeated his September 16 plan publicly not less then 15 times, together with his comrade Tian Chua and those PKR leaders.

The latest drama was PKR sending 5 MPs to Taiwan to try get BN MP who visiting in Taiwan to sign an agreement to join PR. Again this was another big lie trying to fool Malaysian!

Most of us have anticipate that Anwar Ibrahim and his followers will give thousand of reasons for not realizing their plan, among them are:

1. BN MP visiting Taiwan plan had jeopardized our plan (as Tian Chua said it).

2. The ISA arrest has make some MPs to put the plan on hold and we must first save Teressa Kuok and Raja Petra.

3.September 16 is just a target but political struggle is a long term plan. It could happen anytime after September 16.

4. We have get enough MP signature to support us but the plan to take over the federal government is only a technical things that we need more time to execute.

5. It is now a waiting game. We will wait for the best time, included waiting for UMNO in fighting so we could take over much easily.

6. The King is not ready to see us but once we got the appointment, we will change the government.

7. Now is Puasa month, a holy month. We want the Muslim to celebrate their Raya happily and postpone the plan after Raya.

8. After Raya - Now is season celebration mood, Deepavali and Christmas is around the corner, better let everyone celebrate these events first.

9. Chinese new year is coming, we want the Chinese to enjoy the new year without much political havoc......

Stop the nonsense! Stop creating more uncertainty in the country and start doing your job as opposition leader in the parliament and forget about your dream to become Prime Minister in September 16, 2008!

Wind of Change

Anwar Ibrahim won a landslide victory in Permatang Pauh by-election held on 26 August 2008. His huge majority gave him the legitimacy much needed for him to walks into the Parliament to officially lead the opposition Pakatan Rakyat. It was a watershed by-election to mark the Pakatan Rakytat unification under Anwar Ibrahim.

It was indeed an alarming signal to the Barisan Nasional that the Chinese and Indian votes are still very much favoring PR and Malay votes are no more strong hold of UMNO. This is the sentiment - the people just want to Change the Government!

Chinese and Indian voters do not care whether Anwar is involve in the sodomy case, they don't even care if PAS getting stronger and will continue pursuing for Islamic State. Because they are frustrated with the racial policy, especially National Economic Plan (NEP) carried out by BN led by UMNO. They are disappointed by the quota in giving out scholarship, they are angry with UiTM not open up for "Non-Bumi", they are sad that chinese and tamil schools were not getting enough fund to run the school, and the list continue...

As for the Malay voters, they are sick of the NEP that is suppose to help them but end up only helping those politician and their close cronies. Those arrogant politicians who so used to visit their constituency by a convoy of Mercedes and Harrier should feel shame of themselves.

The Permatang Pauh by-election had created a wind of change. And if BN does not change, fast, then the government will be changed.

UiTM Only for Bumi?

I do not understand, after 51 years of independent, we still have education institution that recruit student base on race! Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), a race based higher learning institution, fully funded by government, has openly declined to allow other Malaysian, such as Chinese and Indian to enter the university for further study, what a shame!

Yes the institution was set up to help the Malays and other bumis, but that was 50 years ago, when Malays and other bumis were left far behind. Things had changed for the past 50 years. We claim that we have come so far to achieve so much, yet some are still champion a race based institution. One may challenge me for we are also having some Chinese based institution in this country, e.g New Era College, Southern College and Han Jiang College, but bare in mind that this are private colleges supported by community, and they do not have rules that only Chinese can enter these institutions, unlike MARA.

Government has allocated RM3.2 billion in 9th Malaysia Plan for UiTM, benefiting more than 100,000 bumi students. The government budget comes from the tax paying people, that includes Chinese and Indian and other "Non-Bumi". So what is there to proud of UiTM when using Malaysian money for just one race? Even shameful when UiTM said they are not eying to making the institution more international, because they want to keep it for the bumis. Nevertheless, UiTM does open up for foreign student. Now that sound even more ridiculous when they are ready to accept foreign student but not fellow Malaysian.

We are going to celebrate the 51 National Day soon, but is there anything to celebrate of? We are so proud to be a Malaysian, yet we are not treated as Malaysian, not all of us. Why are we still filling up forms, whether in a public or private sector, that have column to indicate your race? Why should we separate our peoples based on race, religion and language? Does a Malaysian Chinese that speak Chinese make him or her less Malaysian? We are tired of this racial governing system in this country.

Think out of box! To make this country a great country, we must first break the racial policy. Get rid of separating Malaysian into different race group. Look at Lee Choon Wei, he plays for the country and cheered by all Malaysian regardless of race. If he brings back a first Olympic gold for the country, would we consider him as Malaysian hero or Malaysian Chinese hero? That's the beauty of sports, human being is competing not base on political belief, race or religion.

My wish for the Merdeka Celebration this year: Eliminating all racial policies and institutions and accept all Malaysian as Malaysian.

Quit After Lost in Party Election?

MCA is having its party election starting from June 2008. As predicted, many of those who lost in the election choose to leave the party and join PR, especially PKR. I wonder how these people could just leave a party and join the other simply because they lost in the election, which is very normal in an election-either you win or lose.

Well, a very good example is a group lead by Leong Kok Wai, who contested for Pandan Division Chairman, and lost by 4 votes. He refused to accept the result, choose to threaten to leave the party if his request to announce the election void has not been fulfilled. I am really disappointed with the way he handling party election and if this is the attitude, i think he better leave the party than making more damages within the party.

Among those who "betrayed" their party, Datin Paduka Tan Yee Kew is the most high profile politician, who reportedly lead a group of "2,000 MCA members" to quit and join PKR. On the glorious welcoming ceremony attended by Anwar Ibrahim, she openly criticised MCA and BN for not able to deliver and help the people. Looks who talking? A MCA member who has been given chance to be 2 term Klang MP and once holds a position of Parliamentary Secretary and who got the title of "Datin Paduka" now says she found a new life in PKR and condemning BN! Datin Paduka, you have your absolute freedom to choose your political path, but please don't be like the famous "Changing Face" from Sichuan and be graceful of who gave you the opportunity that make you you.

MCA is sick, really sick because having too many phantom members. Just ask around, how many of them really know that they are MCA members? For those who know that they are MCA member, how many of them really loyal to the party? or joining because they want to get something from the party. To be able to go further to the higher position in the party, you need to have a lot of member in your branch (preferably your relatives and friends so that you will not be challenged and to make your branch become your family treasure), so that you could have more divisional representatives and hence make you more powerful and have more bargain power in the division.

This is why MCA has more than a million members but suffered a huge defeat in the recent general election. The huge numbers is a liability for the party. Most of them were brought in to make someone more powerful with more representative, others were here for personal interest. I think it is time to clear the party from these members. Those who wish to leave the party and join PR, let them go, i think it is good for the party as those who stay during the hard time is the one who really loyal and love the party.

I know is hard to see so many leaving, but this is the reality. Only in time like this, you will see the real face of those hypocrite. MCA need to stand up again after the party election! No matter who lead the party, a drastic reform in needed to bring back the party.

UMNO and PAS to Merge?

The March 8th General Election has broken the hegemony of UMNO to rule this country by themselves and with reducing supports from the hardcore malay, they are now eying on co-operation or even merger with PAS to remain in power and to ensure the malay superiority in this country, preserved. UMNO has been challenged and humiliated by non-malay parties from Sabah, especially SAPP lead by Yong Teck Lee. The Chinese, Indian and now Sabahan have voted out Barisan Nasional and UMNO and the result send a shock waves to the malay.

Previously, UMNO or the malay still has a say in Penang under Gerakan's rule but now with a strong government under DAP, the malay role in the state government has diminished. PAS was not invited in the state government and Keadilan malay is only a vase for showcase without significant role.

Same thing happen in Perak and Selangor. Although the MB post is hold by PAS, but DAP grasp 6 out of 10 Exco and a post called "Senior Exco" which is so powerful and act like a Deputy MB. The PAS MB could not do anything without the support from DAP, he is surely a lame duck MB.

As a result, the malay felt threaten and the only way out is to get together. They have started talk right after the general election when most of the us are cheering for a new multi racial political scenario! What a shame!

So this is politics, the election result voted by ordinary Malaysian is not final! The politician could just turn the table in second and change the whole story.

Stop the talk because it hurts the non-malay! Think about it, if MCA-Gerakan and DAP start talking on Chinese centric issue, how would the malay feel? This is only making this country more racist than ever. We could not tolerate this and it should not allowed to continue. MCA and Gerakan should tell their counterpart, UMNO to stop betraying their partner or else all of them will be wipe out in the next general election.

Anwar Ibrahim Arrested

De facto leader of PKR, Anwar Ibrahim was arrested by police at 1.30pm, yesterday. This was an expected arrest, when Anwar Ibrahim does not show up in police station two days ago where he had promised to do so. However, police was under severe criticism as the time line given was until 2.00pm yesterday. Police sent special police force to arrest Anwar near his house because Anwar is suppose to go to KL Police HQ before 2.00pm but after leaving ACA HQ in Putrajaya, he was found heading to his house, instead of police station. Police has taken risk of losing integrity by arresting Anwar before 2.00pm because they do not want to arrest Anwar from his house, packed by ultra supporters, which will make the arrest looked even more dramatic and brutal, that may soon become international issue.

Anwar and PKR supporters gathered out side the police station and threaten to launch another round of "Reformasi", a mass street demonstration, repeating history decade ago. Anwar has repeatedly insisted that the accusation of sodomy is fabricated and malicious and blamed the present IGP and AG as figures behind the scene. This is the same accusation (sodomy) on Anwar that sent him to jail in 1998 and if he found guilty this time, he could be sent to prison for 20 years.

Anwar will surely launch his famous Reformasi again to gather support from the public, in facing apparatus of the government, especially the police force that he worried the most. The general public and opposition parties are upset and angry with the arrest and most of them believe Anwar is clean from the accusation. Two outcome will change the political game in this country.

1. Anwar found not guilty and prove that it is the IGP and AG behind the scene creating all the fabricated evidence, or even related it to Deputy PM Najib Tun Razak.

If this happen, the police and federal government will lost her entire integrity, causing BN to fall and PR to seize power. Anwar will become Prime Minister and starts a new chapter in Malaysia politics.

2. Anwar found guilty with concrete proof that he did sodomized Saifu, his male aide. This will create a political storm to PR. Politically, PAS has to draw a line with Anwar and PKR. PAS may demand the Selangor MB position or else they will withdraw from PR and cause Selangor PR government to fall.

BN then could easily get two or three state assemblymen to cross to BN and form a new BN government in Perak, another state to fall.

Without Anwar as De facto leader, PR will fall apart because DAP and PAS are just two different ideology party, one from Mars and another from Jupiter, they could not work together.

Sabah has no ground to shout at federal anymore and Yong Teck Lee is sure to get his "utmost" punishment.

Well, what ever happen politically, Anwar and his supporters will not give up easily. He will continue trying to get support from their allies, or even US government, to free Anwar. A same episode happen again in Malaysia.

The public for now tends to believe the 1st outcome. Just WHAT IF Anwar really proven for the sodomy charge? Can his supporters and fellow Malaysian accept the fact? Or we will be heading to a split country, again like 10 years ago....

What a great political debate between Minister of Information, Dato' Ahmad Shaberry Cheek and De facto leader of PKR, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim on live debate yesterday on the title of "Hari ini membentuk kerajaan, besok turun harga minyak - Form government today, reduce fuel price tomorrow". A very rare live telecast political debate, not in RTM, the national news centre, but a neutral venue, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. It was indeed a very organized debate, with pre-planed structure and a very good time control, from both debaters.

As usual, when there is a debate, public will judge and choose a winner. BN supporters said its Shaberry's victory but PR supporters said Anwar won the debate. But that would only divert the core question of the debate and the main objective of making the issue clearer. Its all about whether Malaysia, an oil production country, should raise the fuel price when the international crude oil price hike to a record high?

The BN theory, supported by most economist, is that fuel subsidy, in fact most subsidies, are not good for the economy. With huge subsidy from the government, the economy is not running healthy; every product produce in this country is subsidised and does not represent the real cost, thus creating a false impression that goods made in Malaysia in cheaper. The cheaper goods are not because the productivity is higher in this country but merely because it was subsidised. When fuel price is low, like USD20 per barrel in 1990s, or even US40 when Pak Lah took over the country in 2003, it would not make big different. But when the price hike to USD150 per barrel, it cost a lot! It is lucky that this country has petroleum within her boundary, if not, the economy would have collapse.

The PR theory, however, focus on Petronas huge profit, which amounted RM62 billion this year and this big sum of money should be used to subsidise the fuel price, so that the public can enjoy a lower petrol price. Their argument is simple, the money from Petronas, which are now being use for development project under government budget, should be use for fuel subsidy as the public think its better in that way because everyone can enjoy the benefit but if it is use for development project, it would be "swallow" by big market player and cronies from BN.

Whether you support theory from BN or PR, it is your right and your justification. One thing is certain, use platform like Parliament and debate like this to express your views and the public could have more chance to learn the substance of each theory and make better choice in future. Certainly not rally, not illegal gathering, not demonstration. Of course it takes two hands to clap, the government should continue giving more space for opposition to express their opinion, and the opposition should use the proper platform to do so.

We are now in a midst of creating a more democratic nation. The early stage of two party system now is still very fragile. Any over zealous action will destroy it and once it is gone, we would not know how long we have to wait to come back to this stage again. So let's acknowledge the election result and start cooperating to build our economy. After all, the rakyat chosen politician to make their life better, not worst.

Road Block Causing Massive Jam, Again!!!

"WTF! A hell jam in KL, from Saturday to Monday, for the same reason that there "might be" a rally towards Parliament in support of motion table by PKR President, Wan Azizah". I received sms like this and phone calls complaining about the traffic woes haunting KL folks since Saturday. My first respond was there must be some kind of rally, demonstration or illegal gathering in town.

The question rose, why police must set up "road block" to check on vehicles going to town, just to make Malaysian, or specifically kl folk's life more difficult and frustrating? Do you think making more frustration will make the rakyat blame Pakatan Rakyat? Of course some will blame them for doing something stupid like rally just to show their muscle, but believe me that more will divert their angers toward the police, and hence the federal government for doing something even more stupid like closing down road and deploy few policemen there just to watch the crawling vehicles.

Please stop all this nonsense, from both camp! PKR stop organizing meaningless rally that only making this country economy worst! Federal government stop playing the fool by asking the police to do equally meaningless road block to make our life more difficult. Already burdened with expensive petrol price, now stuck in massive and crazy traffic jam out of no reason will just blow up everyone temperature!

Mr. Anwar Ibrahim, face your sodomy charges with gut and not trying to hide behind the Islamic law. Government please start reforming more radically on our judiciary and Anti Corruption Commission. Please announce more incentive to help the rakyat.

Stop all the politic gimmick and blames. I want my life to get back to normal. Let Pakatan Rakyat to rule the 5 states and let BN to rule the federal. If you want to take over the government, wait for the next general election. If you prove that you are capable, we will send you to Putrajaya, if not, stay where you are, Mr Anwar Ibrahim.

Penang and Melaka are now a World Heritage Site

UNESCO has announced the latest list of World Heritage, which include two historical city in Malaysia, Penang and Melaka http://whc.unesco.org/en/tentativelists/1519/.

Penang is an Island situated at Northwest of Peninsular Malaysia, the first Island found by Francis Light, a British East India Company to explore for opportunity in the far east. Penang then has transformed into a free trade island and as a stepping stone for British to expand their influence and empire to South East Asia. Since then, Penang has always been an important port for western to futher explore to the far east, but later when they found Singapore which is situated in a more strategic place, the British has chosen Singapore as Head Quarter to replace Penang.

Melaka has a even more longer history. Situated at Southwest of Peninsular Malaysia and being one of the most powerful empire once, Melaka empire has encompasses vast area of the Malaya peninsular, Singapore, Riau Islands and part of Sumatra. Melaka empire was invaded by Portuguese, follow by the Dutch and later British. Before World War II, Penang, Melaka and Singapore were centralised to become the Strait State control directly from London.

We are really proud that the two state has been elected as world heritage site. Its an honour to all Malaysian. Now the challenge is to keep it as it is and not trying to "develop" the site until it lost the status. The government, NGOs and public must all come together to preserve these area as this is not only a place for Malaysian, but a WORLD HERITAGE that all human must preserve it for our future generation.

One thing for sure, we would expect more tourist to visit these site in near future, so both state government of Penang and Melaka must work harder to keep these historical site in good shape. Keeping this heritage site means keeping the honour for all Malaysian.

Dong Jiao Zong Internal Fight...Again!

If you do not read Chinese paper, you may not aware that the "Highest Chinese Education NGO" in Malaysia, Dong Jiao Zong (United Chinese School Committees Association of Malaysia) is having another round of internal fight, again! This time its happen when Dr Kua Kia Soong, Principal of New Era College, a private university in Kajang run by Dong Jiao Zong had openly slammed Dong Zong Chairman, Dr Yap Sin Tian for intervene into the appointment of New Era College personnel and "technically" sacked Dr Kua from the Malaysia Chinese Independent School Committee (MCISS).

Dr Yap Sin Tian took over the powerful pressure group Dong Jiao Zong and start his "new leadership style" that had led to a serious split within the NGO. Not long after he was elected to the post, a stern action in removing one of the longest serving CEO of Dong Jiao Zong, Mr Mo Tai Shi, now a headmaster in one of the Chinese independent secondary school in Kelantan. Dr Yap's way of managing DJZ has made many staff felt uneasy. Not only this, his "provocative" way dealing with the government has also damage the goodwill built by former Dong Zong Chairman.

The latest fracas between New Era College and Dong Jiao Zong has it history repeated again in Chinese NGOs. According to DJZ press statement, Dr Kuo was not sack but he was "not proposed" by anyone to be appointed in the meeting held on 15 June 2008. Whatever it is, this fracas has made another severe damage to the Chinese community and for those who have continuously contribute to the Chinese education in this country will surely felt disappointed. So just let it be and let it blossom and isn't that is what DJZ has always ask for?

Sabah Political Storm Hit Malaysia

Yong Teck Lee, President of Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) announced yesterday that the party will stay in Barisan Nasional (BN), the ruling coalition, but will table a motion of no confident to the Prime Minister, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in Parliament sitting scheduled to be resumed on Monday. He also threaten that the party may pulling out of the coalition on Friday. For the second time in his career, Yong declared he was leaving a government because of a purported loss of confidence in its leaders. He did this before in 1994 when he abandoned the Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) president Datuk Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan. Yong led a group of Chinese assemblymen and members of parliament to leave the PBS and form SAPP.

However, SAPP deputy president Datuk Raymond Tan said he was confused and embarrassed about the party's move to move a motion of no-confidence against the Prime Minister. He said that the party's supreme council had not been consulted on the matter, accusing SAPP president Datuk Yong Teck Lee of acting arbitrarily. Saying he would attend the party supreme council meeting scheduled tomorrow, he however questioned the party's rationale of having made the decision first.

"It is not proper for us to do it when (Datuk Seri) Abdullah (Ahmad Badawi) is the Barisan chairman. It is disrespectful to the Prime Minister," said Tan, who is Sabah Deputy Chief Minister and Infrastructure Minister. On the meeting, Tan said: "If it (the no-confidence motion) was already pre-planned and decided, what are we going to discuss? The damage is done." He said the move was embarrassing as the SAPP won its seats on a Barisan ticket.

Tan said he was not making any stand on the issue at the moment before attending the meeting.
He said SAPP had been very vocal and even blunt on Sabah issues and the Federal Government had been responding to various requests. Barisan Nasional will have their Supreme Council meeting today to discuss about the political storm created from Sabah. Many BN component parties want SAPP to be penalised or even sack from BN. We need to closely monitor the progress of Sabah politics now, who know? A new party may form out of SAPP, from those who are not happy with Yong's selfish move.

What has happen to our country these days? We are facing the world food crisis, high oil price era, steel, cement, sand's price are all increasing. US Dollar is weak, causing Ringgit Malaysia to raise and this affected our export. Share market in US has slammed due to votality in oil prices, China stock market in Shanghai and Shenzen index has dropped by 44% this year, triggered a crisis alarm to the world. Vietnam had just suffered a financial crisis, India is the next one to be hit. China Sichuan earthquake and the recent flood in southern china had cost billion of dollar and had slowed down China economy growth. Asian economy after the Beijing Olympic game is still uncertain...We are facing economy issue, a real economy issue!

But look at our politicians, they are still busy "playing politics". Anwar Ibrahim, reiterated that PKR and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) had gained enough MPs to grab the central government, now that he wants MCA to join PR to strengthen their power. He started by saying he has more than 30 MPs to join him, now that he said more political party from Barisan Nasional (BN) will join PR. Many "stunning news" had been announced but so far nothing happen. Only one thing is certain, whatever the cost, Anwar Ibrahim just want to be Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Tun Mahathir, Tengku Razaleigh and even Muyhiddin Yassin want Abdullah Badawi to step down, to give way to new leader in a process call "transition of power". Transition of power? now? In the midst of facing economy uncertainty? What are you guys thinking? You just want Abdullah to be replaced and you think that would solve all our economy issues? By urging PM to step down now is just creating more uncertainty to the country and deter more investors from investing to our country. What are these peoples doing is just another round of UMNO internal power struggle. They have never think of the country and rakyat's difficulties.

Sabah politicians were even more shameful by openly threaten federal government to give them more money, oil royalty, more allocation and more projects. If not, they will simply cross over to PR. The calculation and equation is simple: to gain as much profit as possible while federal government is weak and politics is uncertain. Have they ever think of the country? Do they know what crisis we are about to face in near future? I know that the federal government had not treated them fair in the past, but trying to gain everything now by threatening is only making the economy worst.

Since the March 8 general election, has anyone really put some thought that the world is facing crisis, from economy to natural disaster, and our beloved country has no exception from it. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, though is not popular now and being strongly criticised, has work hard in managing the economy. Stern action in reducing petrol subsidy, cash rebate for motorists, cash allowance for the poor, lifting steel ceiling price, lifting cement price soon and reducing income tax were few measures taken to ease the economy problem. He has not openly responded to many political drama, mostly from Tun M and Anwar Ibrahim. He waste no time in "playing politics" but focus so much time in dealing with the economy issues this country is facing now.

This country is not facing a political problem. BN has strong majority in the parliament, 8 seats away to gain 2/3 majority. 5 major states under PR has also started their reform. So why focus so much time trying to grab power, do your part in making sure the office you hold now can perform well. Abdullah had announce that the "transition of power" will be taken place after UMNO election. Let him finish his job and everyone should focus in helping to reduce cost.

After all, its the economy, not the politics that affect our life now, stupid!

DAP Does Not Agree with PKR On Reducing Fuel Price

Petaling Jaya Utara MP from DAP, Tony Phua said DAP does not agree with Anwar Ibrahim, the de facto leader of PKR, that Pakatan Rakyat will reduce petrol price if they take over the government. Tony Phua is against Anwar Ibrahim's stand on reducing fuel price. He said what DAP oppose is fuel price increase without a comprehensive package of incentives to ease the burden of the rakyat. Tony Phua supports government policy to reduce subsidy and increase petrol price, but must fairly distribute incentive and upgrade our public transportation. Even though he insist that the government has the ability to continue to subsidies fuel price, but he agree that the government should cut down fuel subsidy and the previous low fuel price is not a right way to manage the economy.

Well, at least at this time we saw someone from DAP is brave enough to say something sensible, even if it would be perceived as supporting the government and against their de facto leader of Pakatan Rakyat. Tony Phua had set up a good example for politician in Malaysia to express what is right. "Do the right thing not do the thing right".

If others DAP leader could follow Tony Phua's way of telling the truth, then DAP has an exit point from a dead lock haunting them now, i.e the wearing songkok issue and whether or not they should seek for datukship title from the Palace.

People such as Tony Phua is very rare in DAP, if he insist on his way to become a true politician, he may found himself traped in the wrong side of political camp. History shows that many good man who had joined DAP eventually leave the party because the party just can't accommodate those who pursue real politic and does not follow the foot steps of their ultimate leader. Dr Kua Kia Siong is a good example.

Pakatan Rakyat To Reduce Petrol Price?

De facto Leader of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Anwar Ibrahim criticised the government for raising the petrol fuel price from RM1.92 to RM2.70 per litter on 4th June 2008. He urged Barisan Nasional lead by UMNO to step down as responsible for making the people suffer. He said if Pakatan Rakyat (Alliance formed by PKR, Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS)), they would reduce the petrol price immediately, or else he will resign (obviously from the position of Prime Minister, if he ever succeeded to become one). Ironically, he never mention how much he is going to reduce the price? RM2.00, RM1.00 or just 20 cent, as a token of appreciation for letting him and his gang to govern Malaysia?

I have recently invited by NS Chinese Assembly Hall for a political talk in Seremban, together with DAP Youth rising star YB Loke Siew Fook and newly elected state assemblyman, who is also my secondary schoolmate, YB Cheah Kee Chin. To my surprise, YB Loke had openly urging the government to take away fuel subsidy (2 weeks before fuel hike) and let the price float and use the money for more incentive to help the poor and needy. He added that fuel subsidy is only benefiting the rich with expensive car such as BMW and Mercedes. I totally agreed with him.

I think most people who are aware of the international trend in oil price would agree that the government, sooner or later, has to reduce the fuel subsidy. But sad to see when the government does reduce the subsidy, DAP, together with their new leader, PKR had strongly oppose and try to gain credit by organizing mass demonstration on July 12, 2008. YB Loke should have agreed with this policy but he has not stood on his ground.

I know it is tough and i suffer too, but let us be more understanding. The economy has been damaged by subsidy, our economy is unhealthy with subsidy, we all know that but we have been tampered by subsidy and addicted to it. We need to restructure our economy and make it healthier. How to use the money saved by reducing the subsidy is the focus, not how much has been reduced.

Do you think Pakatan Rakyat should have reduce the fuel price by increasing more subsidy? Of course it would make people happy, but in the end the whole economy will be jeopardize. Please do not try to make more sugar coded promises which you know best is harmful to the economy, Mr Anwar Ibrahim.

Petrol Price Hike! Its now RM2.70

Government had announced the petrol price to be increased starting from 4th June 2008, from RM1.92 to a record high of RM2.70. Diesel price even higher by increasing RM1.00 to RM2.58 per litter.

This increase is inevitable by looking at the international oil price touches record high of USD145 per barrel. However, it is certain that the public will oppose strongly and fix and lower income group will suffer the most.

However, the government had also announced some incentive to help the poor by cash rebate of RM625 per annual when you renew your road tax. But many think that this is insufficient to help the needy and more helping hands need to be introduce to help the lower income group to face the high oil price era.

I suggest that the money saved from petrol subsidy, together with huge profit made by Petronas should be used to buy over Plus Highway and to reduce the toll rate to minimum as for maintenance purposes only. This will surely reduce the rakyat's burden and to ease the impact of increasing transportation cost, which in the end will make all goods price to increase.

Also, government needs to review all highway concessions contract and stop the nonsense of increasing toll rate every 3 years or else government needs to compensate the concessionaire company. Stop all these nonsense contracts, or simply buy over this highway to reduce the transportation cost!

The huge subsidy monies saved should also use to upgrade public transport. Extend the LRT system to more residential area: Cheras, Puchong, Kajang, Sunway, Kepong, Rawang and Klang. Connect Putra, STAR and Monorail and make more parking space and stop charging parking fees at LRT station.

We all know it is a hard time, we will face this challenge together but the government should stand with us. Stop wasting public money and stop all white elephant projects. You show us the example and we will follow. You want us to change our lifestyle, no problem, you should also change the public administration style, be more efficient, more transparent and more rakyat friendly.

The Last Day of First Parliament Sitting in 2008

Done! The first parliament sitting after the March 8th General Election is over! It started on April 29, 2008 and ended yesterday, May 29, 2008, after a two days extention.

The first day of parliament sitting, with half an hour live telecast, has turned into chaos. It was widely reported throughout the world and some MPs performance were shameful.

This parliament sitting has many new record:

1. This is the first time, after GE in May 1969, Barisan Nasional has lost 2/3 majority in the parliament.

2. This is the first time Oppostion Leader is a women, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

3. This is the first time MCA has not sit next to PM, because MCA President is not a minister.

4. This is the first time all ministers were given a room in Parliament so that they can attend parliament sitting, unlike those days where only parliamentary secretary or deputy minister answering questions.

5. This is the first time we have 30 minutes live telecast on parliament sitting.

6. This is the first time (if i m not mistaken), Cabinet meeting change to Friday, instead of traditionally Wednesday, so to enable ministers to attend parliament sitting.

Well, to add spice on the topic, this is also the first time where rumours on vote of no confident to PM is running high few weeks before and after parliament sitting started. Now that the first session is over, nothing seems to happen and this mean that Anwar Ibrahim is still far far away from getting the job of Malaysia PM.

Overall, few interesting and shameful things happen during the first session of parliament sitting. Quite a few numbers of MP, mostly from opposition party, didn't submit their question, first time MP was the reason given. I personally can't accept that because once you were elected, then you must take up the job seriously and not trying to celebrate until you forget your duty.

Media seems to be the most happy group during the sitting because they get lots of "news" coverage on new mps, their comments, their dressing, their girlfriend, their vehicle, and so on. Everything became "news".

I must admit the sad part was when two shameful mps demanding Karpal Singh to stand up while debating (Karpal is handycap after an accident and sits on wheelchair). This is totally unacceptable and was a shame to Malaysia Parliament. Wake up MP!

Although this huge earthquake will happen after the Olympics have ended, there will be a series of relatively smaller earthquakes occurring in China before the huge earthquake. The China government, which is more concerned with the success of the Olympics, will most likely neglect to employ appropriate cautionary measures, thus the high casualty rate. If the China government does not publicise the occurrence of these minor earthquakes and evacuate people, the number of deaths will be as predicted.

Mr. Juseleeno是巴西的一名預言家，他出生於1960年，今年47嵗。曾預言過許許多多的世界性的災害與事件，包括：九一一事件、伊拉克戰敗後海珊總統被捕被判刑、印尼囌門答臘海上大地震與印度洋海嘯、羅馬教王保羅二世辭世等等。

1997年4月30日Juseleeno寄給梅加瓦蒂總統一封信，預言2004年12月26日早晨7點南亞洲將會被8.9級之超大地震侵襲同時也會引發10米高的海嘯。Juseleeno收到從梅加瓦蒂總統府寄來的感謝信函：「……有很多事情我們不得不去做，但是我們又無能爲力。」

對於尚未發生的事件，Juseleeno也有很多預測，看起來觸目驚心，而又迫在眉睫：
2008年的7月日本會發生地震，同時會引起30米以上的大海嘯。12月17日美國會發生恐怖事件。
2008年9月18日中國將發生超強烈9.1級大地震，其震源地在南寧與海南島，同時也會引發30米以上的大海嘯，造成數百萬以上的人遇難死亡。

雖然中國是在奧林匹克運動會結束之後才會發生地震，但9.1級的大地震之前會有頻繁的小地震發生，中國政府只顧面子以世界運動會之成功與否為最優先考量的話，而忽視了頻繁的前震，事前都沒有做任何對策的可能性很高。中國政府也許會根據情況而發佈報導管制將預兆的前震之發生對內於對外一切封閉。如此的做法絕對會如預言所述災害慘重。Mr. Time Trabeler John Taiter的遺言：“2004年在希臘雅典舉行的奧林匹克是最後的一次。”

2010年：非洲的數個國家之氣溫可能高達58攝氏度，同時發生嚴重的缺水。6月15日紐約的股票市場會崩盤，世界的經濟將陷入危機狀態。

2011年：癌症的治療方法研究成功，但另一種新致命性病毒會出現。感染上此病祗要4小時即會死亡。

2013年：腦腫瘤以外的癌症之治療法研究成功。Canary群島（加勒比海附近諸島）的巴哈馬島11月1日~25日期間，因爲火山爆發而發生地震。之後又會引發150米高的超巨大海嘯。約80米高的海嘯會湧到加勒比海。美國本土、巴西等地也會再沖到15公里~20公里的內陸地。海嘯要發生之前海水會沉下約6米深，大量的鳥類也會開始移動。

2014年：慢慢接近地球的小行星（Planet）有可能與地球發生相撞，此小行星的存在影響世界人類存滅之問題。

2015年：11月中地球的平均氣溫可能高達59攝氏度，會有很多人被熱死。世界的大混亂也隨之擴大。

2016年：4月中會發生颱風侵襲，中國有大都市會遭到破壞。美國的現任總統喬治布希先生將會緊急入院，面臨生命危機。

2026年：7月舊金山會發生超巨大地震被稱爲“The Big One”聖安德列斯大斷層會被破壞，加州會崩垮掉。很多火山口會重新開啓，海嘯的高度也會超過150米。

從Juseleeno的預言來看，地球溫暖化年年急劇上昇，到2012年非洲國家的氣溫可能達到讓人驚慌的高溫58攝氏度，同時也會發生嚴重的缺水，之後氣溫也會更加上昇直到2015年地球的平均氣溫會達到59攝氏度，有很多的人會被熱死，人類的大恐慌將會擴大到全世界。

無論如何，現在發生的溫暖化現象並不像氣象學家認爲的“暖化速度很緩慢”而是直綫急速上昇的。

留給人類的時間祇剩不多了！
2007年年底止是我們人類覺醒的最後時限。Juseleeno期望到2007年底世界上能發生很大的“意識改變”。

Tun M, what do you really want?

Tun Mahathir quits UMNO! The battle had turn into a war that has no turning back. The result is either Pak Lah step down or Tun Mahathir become a lonely old man that live in his past glory.

Is this the best way to end a political life? Tun Mahathir as a respectful leader of this country should have use his influence for a better cause. He could champion holistic issue such as global warming, international peace, Islamic development or even his "Asian Value", but he chose "to bring down his own successor". Tun M has never satisfied with his successor, not even his predecessor. He had openly criticized Tunku Abdul Rahman in his famous book of "Malay Dilemma", he has not satisfied with all his deputy, from Tun Musa, (Tun Ghafar is exceptional may be because he had follow everything Tun M asked for), Anwar Ibrahim and of course Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Bear in mind, he even challenged the Malay Sultans by reducing their power and put away their "invincible power/ kuasa kekebalan raja).

Since retired from the premiership, Tun M has never silent from politics. At first he targeted Rafidah Aziz for her APs policy that accused to have cause Proton's suffer. He then move on to challenge Nazri, Najib, Ong Ka Ting, Samy Vellu, Anwar Ibrahim and when government decided not to build the crooked bridge to Singapore, Tun M draw his line with Pak Lah.

Tun M was once a powerful and respectful leader in Malaysia. He was in power for 22 years and had brought Malaysia from an agriculture based economy to a modern, industrialized economy. He builds KLCC, KLIA, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, MSC and he had challenged Japan to join his East Asia Economic Group (EAEG), but under enormous pressure from US, Asian country back to use APEC as an economic platform.

May be because he had done so much, after all the challenges thrown to him in his political struggle within UMNO, he has this imagination that this country belongs to him and his family. So when he opted out Anwar Ibrahim and chosen a more "soft" Abdullah Badawi to become his successor, he thought Abdullah will seek his guidance and will continue his legacy. However, Abdullah has revised most of Tun M policy and put an end to Mahathirism.

Now everything seems made Tun M uncomfortable. He continues to challenge Anwar Ibrahim and he will never wants to see Anwar become Prime Minister. At the same time, he wants Abdullah Bawadi to step down, and he said Najib is not suitable as well. So Tun M, who is the best candidates to become Malaysia Prime Minister? Mukriz? or should we invite you to become the next PM as you seems the only Malaysian to qualify for this job.

What do you really want, Tun? Do you want UMNO to be weaken and BN to be fallen apart and Anwar to become next PM? Do you think revising the judiciary system tarnished by you is something bad for this country? Do you think Abdullah become UMNO president and PM merely because of you? Please respect the rakyat's decision. We have put BN into federal and put 5 states under opposition, so what? It is not the end of the world. This result could have been something good for the country.

Yes you have done so much for us, thank you. But Tun, please let the next generation to determine their future. Get some rest, may God bless you.

China Earthquake Shakes Asia

A 7.9-magnitud quake devastated a region in China, killing thousand and leave million homeless. The death toll is on rising and as many as 100,000 peoples may have been killed!

CHENGDU, China - A powerful earthquake toppled buildings, schools and chemical plants Monday in central China, killing more than 8,700 people and trapping untold numbers in mounds of concrete, steel and earth in the country's worst quake in three decades.

The 7.9-magnitude quake devastated a region of small cities and towns set amid steep hills north of Sichuan's provincial capital of Chengdu. Striking in midafternoon, it emptied office buildings across the country in Beijing and could be felt as far away as Vietnam.
Snippets from state media and photos posted on the Internet underscored the immense scale of the devastation. In the town of Juyuan, south of the epicenter, a three-story high school collapsed, burying as many as 900 students and killing at least 50, the official Xinhua news agency said. Photos showed people using cranes, mechanical hoists and their hands to remove slabs of concrete and steel.

Buried teenagers struggled to break free from the rubble, "while others were crying out for help," Xinhua said. Families waited in the rain near the wreckage as rescuers wrote the names of the dead on a blackboard, Xinhua said.

Parents of the dead students built makeshift religious altars at the site, resting the corpses on any available piece of plywood or cardboard, and burning paper money and incense in a traditional honor for their child in the afterlife, according to NPR's Melissa Block.

The earthquake hit one of the last homes of the giant panda at the Wolong Nature Reserve and panda breeding center, in Wenchuan county, which remained out of contact, Xinhua said.
In Chengdu, it crashed telephone networks and hours later left parts of the city of 10 million in darkness.

Report said Chinese government had refuse international rescue team to help! I hope the Chinese government could change their mind. It is not about "face" now but saving lives of million!!

Beware of Racial Politics Bounce Back

Malaysia seems entering into a new era where Malaysia racial politics has transformed into an open, democratic, non-racial and liberal system. Malay dominated politics faded away, replaced by more rooms for non-Malay to hold higher position in the government, i.e Teng Chang Khim as Speaker of Selangor State Assembly, V. Sivakumar as Speaker of Perak State Assembly, Prof Dr Ramasamy (my former lecturer in UKM) as Deputy CM of Penang. All this may seems that we have abandoned racial politics and moving towards a "meritrocracy" system.

But is it real? Are fellow Malaysian suddenly open up their mind and rejected racial politics overnight? Is "NEP" abruptly turn into a curse that haunted UMNO and making the Malays looked vulnerable and uncompetitive, leading to heavy criticms by Malay (Ironically NEP is meant to help the bumi, or malay). Has Malaysian DNA change overnight? Are we truly becoming a nation that does not judge by skin colour or religion? Well, that is what most Malaysian would like to see...but be aware, it may not be the way you think it is!

Take a closer look at the March 8 GE result and you will find that majority of Malays were still supporting UMNO and in fact UMNO still gained 79 seats in parliament, eventhough they can't form federal government by themselve now. If anyone think that the March 8 GE had end malay domination in this country would find themselve living in fantasy. However, it does change the mentality of malays, for a short period and now malays from both camp (BN and PR) are looking to the Malay Ruler or Royal to solve their problem.

Waves of malay gathering, started from KOMTAR, Penang to protest over Lim Guan Eng's remark to end NEP, to the latest conference to discuss about malay right had started to gain momentum of restoring malay superiority in this country. Active royal present in Malaysia politics is also a sign of movement to reunite the malay under one umbrella. The Malay Rulers have become the last resort for malays to seek guidance and protection over "malay right", and with this scenario, one would expect a more vocal and active royal present in Malaysia politics in near future.

Current Malaysia political scenerio is worrying the malay. "Ketuanan Melayu" is being critized, or should i say condemn? Perak Sultan's power is being questioned by Karpal Singh, Penang Court allowing a Muslim to renounce from Islam, possible of free land given to Chinese independence school in Selangor and many more events that show a dramatic change of politic scenario in Malaysia but would the malay give up so easily?

The answer is prevailing. Someone may argue that we cannot compare the situation back to the time before independence, but the structure has not change much. If the malay felt their position in this country threaten, then it just need a spark to light up the racial fire. I am not trying to pour oil on the fire but wish to remind those who thought they have "won" the GE to be aware that the "Racial DNA" in this country is very much the same and it takes time to change. Of course we can move forward for a better Malaysia that rejects racial politics and do not govern based on skin colour, but as a friendly reminder, don't push too harsh. Leave some rooms for change to take place.

Let us work together, regardless of race and religion, to build a strong, harmonious and peaceful Malaysia. I believe most Malaysian would like to end racial politics in this country. We should work this out together but it should be a considerate and sensitive process that take into accounts the different races, religions and cultures in this country. It should be an authentic integration among the people, with no intention of threatening anyone's interest. The GE result may set a path for us to move forward, but do not destroy this path by pushing ahead without looking at the feeling of the malay. If this country would to be a great nation and says no to racial politics, it would be the malay who could make it happen. Without the support from the malay, as the British were aware during colonial time, it would be meaningless to govern this country. So, lets engage every Malaysian to truly understand that it needs everyone of us to build a better Malaysia.

Stay On, Pak Lah !

Malaysian from all walks of life are still very much under a certain degree of shock resulted from the political tsunami of March 8th General Election. The aftermath is no less astonishing with 2 deputy minister refused to be appointed and 1 resigned, Perlis and Terrenganu Menteri Besar fracas, Tun Mahathir and Ku Li team up to demand for Abdullah Badawi to step down, No action being taken by Hishammudin on Mukriz for demanding Abdullah Badawi to resign, Sabah BN not satisfied with Cabinet positions given to them and the list continue...

Nonetheless, what worried most people is the rumours that Abdullah Badawi will resign from his primiership or face the vote of no confident in the Parliament sitting end of April 2008. This has add another time bomb for the stability of this country. Rumour that Anwar Ibrahim visiting East Malaysia to lure more support in order to wrest the central government is even more alarming. Deputy Chief Minister of Penang had openly said that 2 BN MP has almost decided to join PKR and 30 more will be joining in near future. Everyone, from normal citizen to foreign investors are worry of a change of government in this form.

Call for Pak Lah to step down is indeed a call to end BN rule. Although we know that as Chairman of Barisan Nasional and Prime Minister, Pak Lah has to take up the responsibility of the defeat in 5 major states and failed to gain 2/3 majority in the Parliament. Nevertheles, stepping down now will create another storm for BN and open up the door for enemy to launch another stern attack.

Yes this is a biggest lost of BN in Malaysia history, but so far the transition of power to has been quite smooth without creating choas. Stability after transition of power in 5 states has set a very good example of democratic practice in this country. Now that a month has passed, we should not play the game of finger pointing among BN, especially among UMNO urging Pak Lah to step down now. The federal government, together with the 5 opposition controled states, should start governing the state with good governance and to implement whatever promises they have made during the election, not to draw more political drama like try to wrest the federal power.

We know that it is difficult for Abdullah Badawi to hold the position long, under enormous pressure from different camps within UMNO, especially from Tun Mahathir. Najib and Muhyiddin are the two new figures to take over if Pak Lah was to step down now. However, if this does happen, they will only found themselve taking over a split, weak and problematic UMNO because Pak Lah supporters will not be cooperative because the way their leader has been treated.

It would be best for Abdullah Badawi to hold the position for another year where the political stability has been resumed and no more rumours about BN MPs crossing over to Pakatan Rakyat. If Najib and Muhyiddin can give full support for Abdullah Badawi to restore and reunite the party, then by end of 2009, a more stable UMNO can be pass to them and i think they are more happy to take over a stronger party to start their "revolution" or "reinventing" or whatsoever campaign they wish to run to strengthern the party and the federal government.

It is hard time for Abdullah Badawi now, but i have full faith on him because i know he is a good man that will carry out good governance for the people of Malaysia. So Pak Lah, you must stay on for now, for you left no time, to continue your reform in judiciary, in restoring the institutions, to get our police back to its glory time and most importantly, to get Malaysians from all races and religions to unite as true Malaysian.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had announced the Cabinet Line up on 18th March 2008, a trimmed down size Cabinet but more new faces, younger, and certainly more dynamic. We welcome Zaid Ibrahim for De Facto Minister for Judiciary, Sharir for Domestic Trade, Amarsham for EPU, and what more important is Khairy was not included!

We all know that Pak Lah has to face a great challenge in the coming UMNO election and if he would like to strengthen his power in the party, he would not drop Rafidah, Razi or Tengku Adnan. But i think this time he really wants his Cabinet to move and bring in professional and credible peoples mean he put national interest before party interest.

He may be the last BN Prime Minister or second last BN Prime Minister, he may be accused as sleeping PM, who unable to control his people, he may be blamed for causing BN to lost the entire government to oppostion, but from the bottom of my heart, i salute him for given this country a freedom, an opportunity for a change, for allowing more voices to be heard, for respecting the voters decision.

Pak lah, you are the Father of Democracy!
